My first blog (Olympia Weekend)

Well, this is my first official post. I wanted to start this off by talking about my weekend here in Las Vegas, Nevada. On Saturday, September 27 I attended the Olympia Weekend Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center. I've been a fan of pro bodybuilding for about 2 years now. Although I've had a passing interest since high school, it wasn't until I became serious about lifting weights myself that I started reading the magazines, searching out the results of the big shows etc.

The Convention Center was PACKED to the rafters with supplement companies vying for the audience's attention. It was like it was a competition between the vendors to see who could be represented by a more gorgeous model. It was a photographer's dream, I have to admit. I've never seen so many beautiful people in one building in my life. LOL.

About mid-day I heard someone mention that my favorite body builder, Dennis Wolf, was signing autographs. I walked at a feverish pace, trying to find The Wolf until at last I found him!! Man, was he HUGE! Not tall, but geez this man has muscles. I waited in line for only about 5 minutes before one of Wolf's handlers informed the crowd that we may not be able to get to The Wolf in time because he needed to prepare for that evening's Mr. Olympia Competition. I started snapping pictures furiously, thinking I wasn't going to get to meet my favorite body builder. Then the line in front of me dwindled and before to long, I was shaking hands and chatting with the German phenom. WOW, what an experience. The picture, and my stupid grin, says it all!!

Here are the rest of the pics from the show...
